altona Diagnostics wants to thank everyone who visited us at the ECCMID 2024 in Barcelona this year and those who attended our second AltoStar® Experts Meeting. It was a pleasure to meet so many lab professionals and talk about altona’s AltoStar® automation system as well as our broad real-time PCR test portfolio. As every year, the ECCMID 2024, taking place from April 27 to 30, was a perfect opportunity to meet all those interested in molecular diagnostics. This time, over 17,000 people visited 248 exhibitors on more than 8,000 square meters. On all conference days, we were particularly pleased with the large number of visitors at our booth and the high demand for our solutions. Our altona Sales Representatives, Tech Supporters, and Marketing professionals on site appreciated the conversations about our new developments and were proud of the great interest in our soon to be launched AI based automated result interpretation AltoStar® Analysis.
One of the highlights surely was our altona company dinner on Sunday. A great evening with altona professionals and customers networking over delicious Spanish wine and fantastic food in a nice atmosphere. We also enjoyed the lunch gathering at our booth on Monday, where we were able to get to know potential customers and discuss our solutions as well as our new developments.
However, the ECCMID 2024 was not the only event our altona Diagnostics team was looking forward to in Barcelona: On April 26, the evening before the start of the ECCMID, we hosted our second AltoStar® Experts Meeting. It was a valuable event with a series of interesting presentations on molecular in vitro diagnostic practices and the possibility to exchange knowledge and expertise. Additionally, the 82 participants – including AltoStar® customers, international molecular laboratory experts and specialists from altona – had the chance to gain insights into upcoming altona Diagnostics projects. A joyful and pleasant dinner at the end of the meeting rounded the day off while inviting to further connect and engage in lively discussions. We would like to thank all attendees and speakers for their participation.
We are now already setting sights to the rebranded ESCMID Global 2025, which will take place in Vienna, Austria, from April 11-15, 2025. We are looking forward to meeting you there!
