FlexStar® is the quick and flexible real-time PCR product line allowing syndrome-based testing of different pathogens. With our optimized PCR design you will get up to 96 results per real-time PCR cycler in just 1 hour. Both manual use on open platforms or the automated AltoStar® workflow are possible.
Thanks to the modular product design the universal FlexStar® Amplification Mix can be used with any FlexStar® Detection Mix. All Detection Mixes follow the same protocol which enables the flexible combination of different Detection Mixes. Several assay configurations are available. Responding to the current situation, altona starts with detection kits for SARS-CoV-2 (E gene and S gene) and influenza A and B. The dual target assays are developed for the parallel detection of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza in a single reaction.
The newly launched FlexStar® respiratory panel focuses on the detection of respiratory pathogens. This is the first in a series of panels to follow, like gastrointestinal.
