altona equips health institutes with PCR test kit to detect monkeypox

In light of the current multinational monkeypox outbreak in at least 14 countries altona Diagnostics is delivering its Orthopoxvirus PCR test kit to key public health institutes worldwide.

Our RealStar^® Orthopoxvirus PCR Kit 1.0 (RUO) is a reagent system, based on real-time PCR technology, for the detection of Orthopoxvirus specific DNA including monkeypox.

Currently, there is a limited Orthopoxvirus PCR test availability due to the outbreak situation. That’s why altona is expanding the production capacities via upscaling processes.
