Additional PCR kit for monkeypox virus

Cases of monkeypox virus have been confirmed inside and outside the EU since mid-May and new cases continue to appear.

Our RealStar^® Zoonotic Orthopoxvirus PCR Kit 1.0 (RUO) is a reagent system, based on real-time PCR technology, for the reliable detection of zoonotic (non-variola) Orthopoxvirus species specific DNA – including monkeypox.

With this new kit, altona is ready to supply health facilities and laboratories with a sufficient number of kits.
