Available now: new configuration of CE-IVD marked FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Amplification Mix 1.5
The FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Amplification Mix 1.5 is now available in a new configuration, containing enough reagents to perform 96 real-time PCRs. The product is designed for the real-time PCR based amplification and detection of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) derived from human specimens.
The two opened boxes show the different configurations of the FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Amplification Mix 1.5. The left box contains reagents for 96 rxns and the right box contains reagents for 384 rxns.
Thanks to the modular product design of the FlexStar® product line, the universal FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Amplification Mix 1.5 can be used with any FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Detection Mix, allowing syndrome-based testing of different pathogens.
The new configuration of the FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Amplification Mix 1.5 contains sufficient reagents to perform 96 real-time PCR reactions and serves as an alternative to the already established configuration containing sufficient reagents to perform 384 real-time PCR reactions. The new configuration ensures an even more flexible application range of the FlexStar® products. Both configurations of the FlexStar® (RT-)PCR Amplification Mix 1.5 are available as a CE-IVD marked version.
The FlexStar® assays can be used with the automated AltoStar® Workflow from altona Diagnostics or with various real-time PCR cyclers. Currently, altona provides two CE-IVD marked FlexStar® detection mixes: the FlexStar® SARS-CoV-2 Type & FLU RT-PCR Detection Mix 1.5 and the FlexStar® Norovirus Type & Rotavirus RT-PCR Detection Mix 1.5.
Additionally, altona offers six RUO FlexStar® detection mixes in the respiratory panel, three RUO mixes in the gastrointestinal panel, and an RUO assay for the detection of Monkeypox.
More CE-IVD FlexStar® versions, and more FlexStar® detection mixes from various panels are to be launched in the future.
