altona Diagnostics opens subsidiary in Mexico

altona Diagnostics GmbH announces the opening of altona Diagnostics México S. de R.L. de C.V., it’s 10th global location and another highlight in the company’s success story.

For many years, altona Diagnostics’ brand and products have been represented in Mexico by its trusted distribution partner, Quimica Valaner. In May 2026, Hans Kuhn, General Manager of altona Diagnostics GmbH, met with long-standing partners from Quimica Valaner to officially mark the transfer of market responsibility to the newly established subsidiary, altona Diagnostics México S. de R.L. de C.V. Going forward, the Mexican market will be served directly by altona Diagnostics through its new subsidiary.

The Mexican subsidiary is headed by General Manager Cristian Miguez, who brings extensive experience in molecular diagnostics and has worked closely with altona Diagnostics’ portfolio for several years. In his new role, he will focus on expanding altona’s presence in Mexico, building relationships with laboratories and healthcare stakeholders, and helping align diagnostic solutions with the country’s evolving infectious disease epidemiology needs.
